Scholarships — United Kingdom
Mostly full-tuition or partial-tuition postgraduate awards from the UK government or individual universities.
British Council / ASEAN–UK Scholarships for Women in STEM
For women, ASEAN citizens including Filipinos, with a STEM background and demonstrated financial need, who hold a UK master’s offer (e.g. via Cranfield University). Must return home within 2 years of completing the award.
Deadline: 30 Apr 2026 — confirm current-cycle date on the official page. Recurs annually, typically late April.
Award: Full scholarship — tuition, roughly £1,731/month stipend, travel, visa, and health cover
Chevening Scholarships
Filipino citizens with a bachelor’s degree and at least 2 years of work experience, for a 1-year taught master’s. Must return to the Philippines after the award.
Deadline: Applications for the 2027/28 intake open 4 Aug 2026 and close 6 Oct 2026, 11:00 UTC. Recurs annually.
Award: Full scholarship — tuition, monthly stipend, and travel costs
Leeds Beckett University International Scholarships
Open to international students, including Filipinos, with a strong academic record, applying to a postgraduate programme.
Deadline: No fixed deadline — awarded automatically with your admission offer.
Award: Dean’s Postgraduate Scholarship: 50% fee reduction. Other awards: £5,750–£6,000/year or a 50% fee reduction.

Scholarships — Australia
A mix of Australian government awards and university-funded tuition reductions — several require no separate application.
ANU International Merit Award / Bursary (Southeast Asia)
International undergraduates (Selection Rank 85+) or postgraduates (GPA 5.5+) not otherwise sponsored. The Philippines falls under ANU’s Southeast Asia regional banding — confirm current eligibility on the official page before applying.
Deadline: No separate application needed — automatic consideration with your admission application.
Award: 25% tuition fee reduction for up to 4 years
Australia Awards Scholarships
Filipino professionals with 2+ years of work experience, resident in the Philippines for the last 12 months, applying for a master’s or PhD. Requires a Re-Entry Action Plan.
Deadline: 30 Apr 2026 — confirm current-cycle date on the official page. Annual application window, typically February–April.
Award: Up to AUD $200,000 for a master’s or AUD $300,000 for a PhD — full tuition, airfare, living allowance, and health cover
Melbourne International Undergraduate Scholarship
Citizens of countries with GDP per capita of US$10,000 or less (the Philippines qualifies), starting an undergraduate Overseas Fee-place, with no prior tertiary study.
Deadline: No fixed deadline — awarded automatically with your offer.
Award: 25% tuition fee reduction (20% for intakes from 2027 onward)

Scholarships — Canada
University-funded awards, plus one government doctoral scholarship that requires an institutional nomination rather than a direct application.
Canada Graduate Research Scholarship – Doctoral (CGRS-D)
Requires nomination through a Canadian institution — not a direct application for prospective applicants still abroad. Successor to the Vanier CGS.
Deadline: 17 Oct 2025 (most recent competition, now closed) — confirm current-cycle date on the official page. The 2026 date had not yet been published as of this writing.
Award: Award amount not publicly confirmed for the current cycle — check the official page rather than relying on a headline figure.
Lester B. Pearson International Scholarship
International first-year undergraduates with an exceptional academic record. Around 37 students are selected worldwide each year.
Deadline: Admission application due 16 Oct 2026; scholarship submission due 6 Nov 2026, for September 2027 entry.
Award: Full ride for 4 years — tuition, books, incidental fees, and residence
UBC International Scholarships
International study-permit holders entering directly from secondary school.
Deadline: No separate application — tied to UBC’s general admissions deadline, with automatic consideration.
Award: CAD $10,000–$25,000/year, renewable for up to 3 more years (UBC Okanagan: CAD $5,000–$8,000). Does not cover the full cost of study.

Scholarships — United States
Mostly Fulbright-administered awards for Filipino applicants, funded jointly by the US Department of State and Philippine partner agencies.
Fulbright Foreign Student Program (Philippines)
Philippine citizens with an excellent undergraduate record and 2+ years of work experience, applying for a master’s or PhD (excludes accounting, medicine, and applied math/sciences). Must return to the Philippines after the award.
Deadline: 30 Apr 2026 — confirm current-cycle date on the official page. Annual, historically late April.
Award: Round-trip airfare, monthly stipend, tuition and fees, book allowance, and health insurance. 1–2 years for a master’s, 2 years for a doctorate.
Fulbright–CHED PhD Scholarship Program
Faculty and staff of CHED-recognized Philippine higher-education institutions pursuing doctoral study in the US.
Deadline: Deadline not published — check fulbright.org.ph each cycle.
Award: Details vary by cycle — see the official page.
Fulbright–PhilSA Foreign Student Program (Space Science & Technology)
Filipino graduate applicants whose research aligns with PhilSA’s Key Development Areas.
Deadline: Deadline data was inconsistent across sources at time of writing — check philsa.gov.ph or fulbright.org.ph directly. Historically opens around Q1.
Award: Tuition and fees, airfare, monthly stipend, settling-in allowance, and health insurance.
Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship Program
Mid-career Filipino professionals for one year of non-degree graduate study and professional development.
